Feelings vs. Emotions


First, we need to understand the difference between feelings vs. emotions and explore how emotions impact our subconsciousness. Our feelings represent an external interaction of our mind with the world around us. All feelings we experience are stored in our subconsciousness and fall under the umbrella of key underlying emotions.

For instance, anxiety, insecurity, and worry are all part of the “Fear” emotion.


Common Approaches to Handling Emotions


  • Suppression: piling up emotions within, often leading to stress and anxiety. NOT effective.

  • Expression: while venting provides temporary relief, the emotion remains. NOT effective.

  • Avoidance: ignoring emotions results in superficial relationships and various addictions. Again, it is NOT effective.


The Game-Changer: Release


Release is the only truly effective way to process emotions.

It taps into the inherent nature we knew as children, addresses suppressed emotions and engrained behaviours.
